The Middle East is the  region that is outlined by South-Eastern Europe, across south-western  Asia  and North Africa.  The Middle East is the birthplace of the  Baha'i faith, Christianity, Islam and Zoroastrianism. The countries commonly included in the term "middle east"  includes Bahrain, Cyprus, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Israel Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, The United Arab Emirates, Yemen, Palestine and Iran.

As the birthplace of at least three world religions (Judaism, Christianity and Islam) and the focus of much modern economic and political importance, the Middle East remains a popular destination for travellers.
